Delta Moves

Initiated by the Guangdong Dance Festival at the 15th Greater Pearl River Delta Cultural Co-operation Meeting held in Guangzhou in 2014, the "Delta Moves" alliance, together with the City Contemporary Dance Company and Stella & Artists, aims to promote regional exchange, interaction and synergistic effects derived from resource integration. The plan was officially launched at the 12th Guangdong Dance Festival in 2015, and on 28 May 2016, at the 17th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cultural Cooperation Conference held in Macao, the “2016-17 Work Plan for the Pearl River Delta Dance Network ‘Delta Moves’” was officially signed in the presence of cultural officials from the three regions at the 17th Greater Pearl River Delta Cultural Co-operation Meeting held in Macao. A series of activities are planned for 2016 and 2017, including assisting artists from the three regions to perform in their respective regions and promoting contemporary dance programs from the three regions to participate in international arts festivals. The aim is to promote the development of contemporary dance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, jointly establish an international cultural brand, create broader domestic and international opportunities for the contemporary dance industry in the region through resource integration, and promote the formation of a healthy art ecosystem.
